Morning Devotional – “Living Ready Today”
Scripture:
“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.”
—1 Peter 4:7
Reflection:
As this day begins, Peter reminds us to live with intention. A sober mind keeps us grounded in truth, not rushed by worry or distracted by the pressures ahead. To be “watchful unto prayer” means starting the day connected to God, inviting His Spirit to guide every decision, conversation, and response.
Today, choose to walk in love. Fervent charity means loving beyond convenience—offering grace when it’s hard and patience when it’s tested. Let your actions reflect Christ, whether through a kind word, a listening ear, or a willing heart to serve without complaint.
Prayer:
Father, as I begin this day, clear my mind and steady my heart. Help me to remain prayerful, to love sincerely, and to serve joyfully. May everything I do today reflect my readiness for Your coming. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thought for the Day:
Live today as someone who expects Jesus—because love is the language of readiness.
